On 29th of November the first Steelanol review meeting was held at the ArcelorMittal Gent steel plant. The EU project officer took the opportunity to visit the Steelanol construction site, located adjacent to the steel plant and the Knippegroen power plant.

In the background on the picture you can notice the gas pipe from the steel plant to the powerplant, with the recently built tie-ins for tapping of the steel waste gas to the Steelanol plant and returning the bioreactor tail gas to the power plant.
